Moving between English, Spanish, and Spanglish, Luna & Cielo traces the emotional borderlands of Dominican-American womanhood—where language is not merely translated, but transformed.
Rooted in ancestral memory, the collection moves across four intimate landscapes: bloodline and belonging; love and obsession; secrecy and rupture; and the long return to the self. Sensual, mythic, and unafraid of contradiction, these poems examine what it means to inherit family stories, resist erasure, love deeply without disappearing, and build a life beyond the confines of expectation.
At its center are Luna and Cielo: two interconnected feminine selves shaped by the same emotional fire, but transformed by different histories of survival, longing, and becoming.
This debut collection is both personal and mythic—a living archive of language, memory, womanhood, and reinvention.
